Children's Chapel
The Children’s Chapel is located at the far end of the Cathedral near the Chapter House.
Children are a gift from God
On 16th October 2006, the Bishop of Warrington, the Right Reverend David Jennings, commissioned this area to be the Children’s Chapel during a special service of thanksgiving and prayers.
Whilst on earth, Jesus drew children close to Him because he loved and valued them. In the same way, the Cathedral, through the work of the Education Centre and this designated area, proclaims our commitment to children, their families, future generations and individuals who are in need of comfort.
It is our prayer that whoever comes to this place will experience the comfort, love and peace of Christ and in turn be strengthened in the knowledge of the care and prayers of others.
“ Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work in us; to him be glory in the church, and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever”.
(Ephesians 3:20,21)
