For every bowl of Scouse purchased on Global Scouse Day we will donate £1 to the Whitechapel Centre helping their efforts to end homelessness.

Global Scouse Day is coming on the 28th February and how better to celebrate the signature dish of our great city than a great offer and supporting a great local charity? The Welsford restaurant at Liverpool Cathedral will do exactly that, offering a free hot drink with every bowl of delicious Scouse purchased, not only that but for every bowl of Scouse purchased on Global Scouse Day they will donate £1 to the Whitechapel Centre to help in their efforts to end homelessness in Liverpool.

Global Scouse Day is an international celebration of the wonderful meat stew that has become so iconic of Liverpool, naming its people and its accent. It is a dish that originated in Norway and was brought to the great ports of Liverpool by sailors, but it is here the historic dish – enjoyed by sailors across Northern Europe for well over three centuries has found a true home.

So why not come and enjoy an authentic taste of the city’s best loved food and help out those in need in the process?
