Come and find out at our choir open evening on Monday 3rd July starting at 5:15 pm.

Interest has already been much greater than usual with over 20 parents already booking their children and that number is expected to more than double.

On the evening you’ll listen to both the Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs sing choral evensong The Director of Music will give a presentation. Children will then audition to become choristers starting this September.

Stephen Mannings, Liverpool Cathedral’s Assistant Choral Director encourages parents with boys from school years Y2 to Y5 and girls from Y5 upwards to get in touch soon to book a place for their child.

He said:

“Each year we recruit ten new boys and girls to our choirs. Those children who are selected can look forward to a rich variety of vocal training, instrumental tuition, television and radio broadcasts and international choir tours. The children learn to perform at a world-class standard, conduct themselves professionally and create for themselves a well-rounded CV at a young age which tends to be extremely helpful when applying for universities or jobs in the future.”
