Cathedral shortlisted in the region’s prestigious tourism awards

We are delighted to have been shortlisted once again in the ‘Large Visitor Attraction' category of the annual Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2021.

Liverpool Cathedral has been nominated several times for this award, following winning this important regional award scheme in 2014, 2016 and 2018.

Paul Smith, Director of Enterprise at Liverpool Cathedral, said:

"We are enormously proud to be shortlisted for the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards for Large Visitor Attraction once again and in such illustrious company. This shortlisting comes on a back of a wonderful year of accolades; our second successive TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award plus our recent Visit Britain Gold Awards for VAQAS. All three are testament to the continual hard work and commitment from our amazing staff and volunteers."

The Awards celebrate the success and achievements of businesses across the tourism and hospitality industry within the Liverpool City Region. This year there are 16 award categories, covering excellence in the tourism sector across the region

We will go forward to the final judging panel ahead of the glittering black-tie awards ceremony which is planned for Thursday 10 March 2022.
