May at the Cathedral

Looking for things to do this month? Find out more about some of the events happening at Liverpool Cathedral in May 2022...
Another month begins… If you're looking for something to do this May Liverpool Cathedral has plenty of options to keep you busy.
Eager to Learn?
As the weather picks up why not spend 45 minutes in the sun touring the Cathedral grounds with our knowledgeable tour guides, you can learn something new about our amazing building while taking in the view from outside.
If you enjoy learning and the Outside Cathedral Tour isn’t enough for you then join us for one of our many courses/lectures. This month we are hosting The Gilbert Scott Science and Faith Lectures, we will have guest speakers to better our understanding of how the two work together! We also have The Bible Course starting on May 4th, it’s an eight-session course helping you explore the BIG story!
Maybe you're looking for something to do with Music this May?
The Cathedral has you covered so join us for a variety of uplifting music on Fridays this summer as part of our Francis Neilson Lunchtime concert series or join us every Sunday afternoon for the Summer 2022 Sunday Organ Recitals. These performances are free, but donations raised from the recital will go towards the choir tour fund.
If you're lucky enough to get tickets then you can even join us for a musical interpretation of Noah and his ark, performed by our Schools Singing Programme production.
Why not use May to Encounter your Faith?
We have many regular services daily that you can drop in for such as Eucharist services and Choral Evensong. If you want to deepen your understanding and practice, then join us for a Centering Prayer workshop Led by Revd Mark Waters
We have a lot more to offer this May so find out more about our Men’s Group, Mothers Union, BSL Services and Stitching Group that are all taking place this month.
Just a visit?
Even if you do not fancy any of our events or services, you're always welcome to visit us at any point during our opening hours, to see our wonderful building, light a candle, browse our Cathedral shop or get a bite to eat or cup of coffee from The Welsford Bistro.
We look forward to welcoming you this May!
