Our ever-popular outdoor abseil adds another date but you’ll have to be quick to grab your place

Due to increased demand, we've have added an extra date to the popular outdoor abseil on Friday 10 August 2018.

This another opportunity for people to enjoy the thrill of abseiling off one of the UK’s most amazing buildings and raise money for your favourite cause, as both days on 11 and 18 August are now fully booked.

If you’re brave enough to descend from above the great West Door of Liverpool Cathedral and just want the hair-raising experience you can take part too.

You can abseil solo or as a pair, but you’ll need to be quick as places have already been booked. There are a number of charities who’ve already pre-booked abseil slots, so if you’d like to support them you can contact them using the details below.

Paul Smith, Director of Enterprise at Liverpool Cathedral said:

“Once again, we are looking forward to another exciting event in the calendar of Liverpool Cathedral.  Interest in the Cathedral Summer Abseil has grown considerably off the back of last year’s event, that’s why we’ve introduced a third day, rather than the usual two.  We’ve only got a small number of places left, so now’s the time to sign up if you fancy taking part.  To be able to abseil off one of the world’s great buildings continues to be a massive draw for local people and for people from further afield.”

He added:

“This year we’re hoping to break all previous records on behalf of the charities and raise some much-needed money for great causes as well as creating some lasting memories for all taking part.”
