Thank you to our 2023 Abseilers!
It has been 2 weeks since our last Cathedral Abseiler for this year took on the 500 ft drop from above the West Tower doors!
We are made up with the support we have received from some amazing charities and individuals aswell as family and friends who supported them. It was fantastic to see 40 charities taking part in this year’s Liverpool Cathedral abseils, with over 800 brave individuals facing the challenge!
It is one of the most significant fundraising events in the region, raising over £180,000 this year for local charities, which is why is it so important for us to run this event. We were really pleased to continue working with our longstanding event partners TNR Outdoors, who run the abseil, and Pennine Events who ensure the smooth operation of everything on ground level.
This year we faced particularly challenging weather, which I hope encouraged even more people to dig deep and support our fantastic charities!
