Catch up on the latest news from Liverpool Cathedral for Sunday, 1st May 2022

Welcome to Liverpool Cathedral E-news. It is now two weeks since we celebrated Easter Day and in many ways it feels like an eternity ago. Our readings set for the Sundays of Easter are the resurrection appearances of Christ.

On Sunday we will hear the reading about the Disciples going fishing and returning to what they know best. It is, however, in the ordinary things of everyday life that they find Christ and it is where we find Christ if we are open to him.

Risen Lord,

you made yourself known to the disciples

by the Sea of Tiberias.

Come among us now

and make yourself known to us,

as we share in your feast;

for you are our God,

now and for ever.

Amen.

Join us in person for 8:30am Morning Prayer and the 12:05 pm Eucharist on weekdays and Saturdays (Livestream at 8:30 on Sundays), and Evensong/Evening Prayer at 5:30pm on weekdays and 3pm on Saturdays.
