This week’s News from Liverpool Cathedral – a Place of Encounter

Catch up on the latest news from Liverpool Cathedral for Sunday, 29th May 2022
A welcome from Canon Neal
A very warm welcome to this week’s e-news. Like last week, our Gospel reading from John’s Gospel is set in the context of the Last Supper. In the reading, Jesus prays for unity amongst his disciples; that, one day, they all may join him in heaven, and be close to his royal throne.
Talking of royal thrones, we are looking forward to celebrating our Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this coming week. We are joining in with the national beacon-lighting at 9:45pm on Thursday evening, on the Rankin Steps. Next Sunday afternoon, we have services and events for Pentecost and the Jubilee at 3 pm in the Metropolitan Cathedral and 3:45 pm in Liverpool Cathedral. All are welcome!
Worship this week
Join us in person for 8:30am Morning Prayer and the 12:05 pm Eucharist on weekdays and Saturdays (Livestream at 8:30 on Sundays), and Evensong/Evening Prayer at 5:30pm on weekdays and 3pm on Saturdays.
