This week’s News from Liverpool Cathedral – a Place of Encounter

Catch up on the latest news from Liverpool Cathedral for Sunday, 12th June 2022
Welcome from Dean Sue
A very warm welcome to the Cathedral e-news on this Trinity Sunday. There has been quite a lot written on the Trinity by some very eminent theologians, so I am not going to try and explain it here! What I will say is that the Trinity for me is all about relationship and the Rublev icon of the Trinity in the Cathedral clearly shows the relationship between God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. In the Icon there is also a place for us and we too are in relationship with one another and with the Trinity.
On Sunday we will baptise Wilfred in the name of the Trinity at our 10.30 service. Wilfred will become a brand new member of the Christian community and he will be in relationship with us as he will be in relationship with God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We welcome Wilfred and his parents Jess and Nick in to our community of faith and in to the Cathedral Company. Welcome in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
