
Ash Wednesday is an ancient custom to make a simple cross on the forehead out of Ash at the beginning of Lent, as a reminder of our sorrow for our sins, and the brokenness of the world, and as a sign of hope in the mystery of the cross, God’s love entering into our fragile humanity and redeeming us.
