Lent Course

Please join us for our 2025 Lent Course, entitled ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. Pope Francis has called 2025 a ‘Year of Jubilee’ – an opportunity for spiritual refreshment by re-engaging with what the Bible has to say about ‘Jubilee’, with its strong themes of justice and liberty.

There are six main themes commended for study in this Jubilee year and they are grouped under the heading ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. Our Lent Course will take these themes as the headings for six studies throughout Lent. All our sessions will be on Wednesday evenings, on Zoom, 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm. Anyone is welcome to join. We begin on 5^th March (Ash Wednesday), take a break on 12^th March, then reconvene on 19^th March through to 16^th April.

The dates and themes are:

5^th March            The Sabbath and the Sabbatical Year

19^th March          Justice, trust and memory

26^th March          The Household Unit

2^nd April              Forgiveness and Freedom in the New Testament

9^th April               Jubilee and Jesus

16^th April             Caring for our Communities
