Pentecost: Two Cathedrals March 2026 – Many Voices, One Faith
Celebrate the Christian festival of Pentecost with Christians from across Merseyside at the annual Two Cathedrals March.
Pentecost remembers the moment when the early Christians took their message onto the streets with enthusiasm and energy. Inspired by the visit of Pope John Paul II to Liverpool in 1982, this joyful public celebration has become a cherished annual tradition in the city.

The event begins at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral before participants walk together along Hope Street to Liverpool Cathedral for a shared celebration.
The 2026 theme, “Many Voices – One Faith,” reflects the unity and diversity of Christian communities across the region. This year’s celebrations will also be inspired by the Manifesto for Hope, encouraging people to come together in a spirit of hope, faith and shared witness.
Everyone is welcome to take part in this uplifting celebration of faith in the heart of the city.
