Wynn Chandra
Wynn P. Chandra is an Associate Studio Director of Herzog & de Meuron UK. She is currently responsible for overseeing the London office and its wide range of projects in the UK. Her recent projects include the Liverpool Street Station and a restoration of a heritage building in London. She has led numerous built works and a wide variety of projects with a strong focus on the arts, historic and hospitality schemes.
She graduated from the Architectural Association, which she is a regular guest lecturer. Prior to Herzog & de Meuron, she worked with various international practices such as OMA in Rotterdam and Beijing to develop her design and practical experience.
Dr. David Lewis
David Frazer Lewis is an architectural historian who studies British architecture from 1880-1940, the years when modern architecture as we know it was forged. He has published on a range of topics around the Gothic Revival, including a 2021 book on A.W.N. Pugin. He is currently writing a book about Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, designer of the red telephone box, Battersea Power Station, and Liverpool Cathedral. He is Associate Professor of Architectural History and the Historic Built Environment at the University of Oxford.
Armstrong Yakubu
studied architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London and joined Foster + Partners in 1987. Having worked on projects in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and the USA, he plays a unique role that combines his responsibilities as a permanent member of the Design Board with close involvement in carefully selected projects that benefit from his expertise. His recent projects include CityCenterDC, 50 United Nations Plaza New York, Oceanwide Center, San Francisco and The Murray Hotel in Hong Kong. Armstrong has a keen interest in residential building trends, the ecology of the built environment and urban design across the world.
Iain Jackson
is an architect and professor at University of Liverpool. Iain worked in practice on educational projects and completed his PhD on the Rock Garden of Chandigarh in India. He is the research lead for architecture at University of Liverpool and co-director of the Architecture Heritage, and Urbanism in Western Africa (AHUWA) research group. He is currently researching the architecture of the United Africa Company. Iain teaches architectural studio, architectural history, and supervises several PhD students. He has co-authored biographies on Herbert Rowse and The Architecture of Edwin Maxwell Fry and Jane Drew.
