Dean Sue says ‘Every year churches across the world celebrate the week of Prayer for Christian Unity in January. In Liverpool the two Cathedrals, linked by a street named Hope come together to pray and worship together as a sign of our commitment to working together. This year the service will be in the Anglican Cathedral at 3pm on January 26. The choirs from both Cathedrals will lead the worship. The preacher will be the Archbishop of Liverpool, Archbishop Malcom. It is easy to forget our past and how Liverpool was divided by religion. As Christians, we want to work together to witness to the love of God as seen in God’s son Jesus Christ. We endeavour to do what we can together and to be witnesses in our City of Liverpool. A witness to peace and a witness to sharing in the good news of Jesus Christ.’
Let’s come together in prayer and celebration of Christian unity.
