PUBLIC NOTICE
TAKE NOTICE that the Chapter of the Cathedral Church of: Liverpool
has on this date: 13th March 2025
applied to the Fabric Advisory Committee of the said cathedral for approval of the following proposal:
The replacement of two existing gas boilers with two new gas boilers and all associated infrastructure.
The introduction of new radiators on the northeast and southeast triforia and the decommissioning of existing radiators in the same locations, noting that the existing radiators will remain in their current positions.
Summary of the nature of work and its extent (and materials) [or in the case of an object, a short description of it and details of the proposal]
The existing gas boilers to be replaced with new highly efficient gas boilers due to the limited life expectancy of the existing equipment.
At the east triforia, the existing cast iron column radiators (original to the building) will be disconnected from the pipe supply network and drained down but will be left in position. New, more efficient fin coil radiators will be introduced in front of the retained/decommissioned radiators.
