If you can't find the information you're looking for, please contact our Visitor Services Manager, Jenny Moran, Jennifer.Moran@liverpoolcathedral.org.uk

How many people can a guide show around the Cathedral?

We try to ensure that one guide only shows up to 20 people around. If your group is larger, no problem, as long as we know in advance we can arrange for more guides to be in the Cathedral.

Do I need to book a guided tour?

No -  because guides are freely available in the Cathedral from 10:00 am each day Monday - Saturday and from 12noon on Sunday. Booking is advised if coming as a large party but individual/family booking is not essential.

Who do I ring to enquire about the kind of tours on offer and to book my group in?

email Jenny Moran at jenny.moran@liverpoolcathedral.org.uk.

Do I have to pay for a guided tour?

We suggest a donation of £3.00 per person. Your donation helps support our maintenance and day-to-day running costs as well as helping to keep Cathedral admission free.

Can I park at the Cathedral?

Yes, we do have a car park which surrounds the Cathedral. It is a pay-on-exit system. For up to date car parking charges please ring The Constable's Lodge on 0151 702 7260. (Different rates may apply for special events held during either daytime or evening, please check the individual event entry in our Events Calendar for details)

Are there accessible facilities from the car park to the Cathedral?

Yes, access to the main Cathedral floor is via a lift directly from the car park. There is also lift access to the differing levels on the ground floor and to the Lady Chapel, all suitable for wheelchair users

Is Liverpool Cathedral Dog Friendly?

Yes we are. We ask that dogs stay on leads in the Cathedral.

Am I allowed to take photographs inside the Cathedral?

Yes, you may, at any time EXCEPT during any service being held in the Cathedral (including smaller Chapels accessible to the public).

You can check out the Service times on our Worship pages. This also applies if a private or ticketed event/occasion is happening within any location in the Cathedral, when express permission to take photographs MUST be sought beforehand from the Visitor Manager, Event Manager, and/or organisation involved.

Commercial photography allowed ONLY by prior agreement and may be subject to a fee.
