Join us for a thought-provoking event discussing the impact of fast fashion on the Global South. Learn about the environmental and social consequences of our clothing choices, and explore ways we can make a positive change.
This workshop will be facilitated by Emma Summerscale who is a visible mender and expert in sustainable and up-cycled fashion. During this workshop Emma will facilitate meaningful presentations and conversations about the cost that fast fashion production and waste has on the Global South. In the second part of the workshop, Emma will teach you visible mending techniques that will allow you to repair your own garments! So bring along with you a beloved but damaged item of clothing and learn how to repair and enhance it creatively.
Due to the nature of the activities involved this is a 12+ event and those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Don’t miss this opportunity to educate yourself, learn new mending skills, and be part of the change!
