Liverpool Cathedral is being audited by INEQE, alongside all Cathedrals and Dioceses in the Church of England. The aim of the audit is simple: to assess and strengthen safeguarding across the whole Church of England.
The INEQE safeguarding audit of Liverpool Cathedral will take place in early 2026.
In preparation, we will be gathering our evidence between November and December 2025.
Surveys are now live and can be accessed here. We strongly encourage you to answer these with the utmost honesty and openness.
Safeguarding Cover during the Christmas Period:
The Diocese and Cathedral Safeguarding Team will not be available until Monday 5th January 2026. During this time thirtyone:eight will be providing cover for any safeguarding concerns, you can contact them on the following number 0303 003 1111.
If you have information about a safeguarding situation where a child or adult is in immediate danger or requires immediate medical attention, call 999.
If you do not think there is a risk of immediate danger but you are concerned that a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of harm you should approach your Local Safeguarding Children’s Board or Local Safeguarding adult’s board, follow this link for details of your Local safeguarding board if you do this please also inform the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.
