Liverpool Cathedral Abseil 2025 – What a July!

Four incredible days. Over 50 charities. Dozens of fearless fundraisers. And a fundraising total that’s still climbing.

Throughout July, participants from across the region took on the challenge of abseiling 150ft down the iconic Liverpool Cathedral tower – and the results speak for themselves. From the 9 individuals and 18 charities who shared feedback, a staggering £94,593.75 has already been raised… and that’s just part of the story. With over 50 charities represented in total, the real total will be even higher, making a huge difference to causes across the city and beyond.

But it wasn’t just about the money raised -The atmosphere was buzzing, with plenty of encouragement from the crowd and huge smiles from abseilers as they reached the ground. Here’s what some of our abseilers had to say:

“Such a wonderful experience.”
“Looking forward to coming back.”
“Excellent experience.”
“Such a memorable day!”
“Thanks for another great year.”
“Can’t wait for next year – we already have a list of people volunteering to do it because of the fun we had this year!”
“Thank you, as always, for a brilliant day.”

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, volunteered, sponsored, or cheered from the ground. You’ve helped make this one of our most successful abseils yet and we can’t wait to welcome you back.
