Liverpool Cathedral Awarded VisitEngland Gold Accolade for 2024–2025

Welcome > News > Liverpool Cathedral Awarded VisitEngland Gold Accolade for 2024–2025
Posted on January 5, 2026

We’re delighted to share some wonderful news: Liverpool Cathedral has been awarded a Gold Accolade by VisitEngland for 2024-2025, recognising excellence within the visitor attraction sector

The VisitEngland Accolades celebrate organisations that consistently deliver outstanding visitor experiences, and achieving Gold places Liverpool Cathedral among the very best attractions in the country.

During December, our Front of House Manager, Claudia, and Operations Manager, Jack, proudly collected the award at a celebratory lunch held at the British Motor Museum in Warwickshire. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the hard work, care, and commitment that go into welcoming visitors to the Cathedral every single day.

This recognition reflects what so many of our visitors tell us: that Liverpool Cathedral is not only a place of breathtaking architecture and history, but a space where people feel genuinely welcomed, supported, and inspired.

Above all, this award belongs to our incredible staff and volunteers. From first greetings at the door to quiet conversations, guided tours, events, and moments of reflection, it’s your warmth, professionalism, and dedication that shape every visit. Thank you for the care you show to everyone who comes through our doors

We’re proud of this achievement and grateful to all who continue to make Liverpool Cathedral a place of excellence, hospitality, and belonging.
