Planning your visit
We look forward to welcoming you to Liverpool Cathedral.
Liverpool Cathedral is the largest cathedral in Britain and the 5th largest Cathedral in the world. We hope that exploring our vast space provides you with a sense of what it means to ’encounter Liverpool Cathedral’, whether that is through our daily worship services filled with inspiring music and quiet reflection, or our large-scale art installations and family activities.
Last entry to the Cathedral is 15 minutes before closing time.
To find out more about what you can encounter on your next visit, check out our events calendar or upcoming services page.

We occasionally need to make changes to our opening hours or close parts, or all, of the Cathedral due to events or services taking place. We recommend checking our opening hours before your visit to make a note of any changes.
Visiting on Sundays: The Cathedral is open for worship between 10-12, you are welcome to join us. If you wish to have a full visitor experience, please come at 12.

Visiting Liverpool Cathedral is completely free of charge; however, donations are gratefully received as they help us support the vital work we do and maintain and restore our magnificent building. Would you like to find out more about this? Read why your support matters.
Occasionally, we host events that require a paid-for ticket, like yoga, or a musical performance. Any ticket information will be included within the event’s individual listing.

Support Us
Like many other organisations in the city and beyond, we’re facing an uncertain future. We lost nearly all of our income through the pandemic, so your donations are especially needed and welcome to help keep entry to Liverpool Cathedral free to visitors.
You can donate during your visit, through cash, or our portable contactless consoles. Please give as generously as you can.
Find out more about how you can support us on our Donation website pages. Or buy something from our Cathedral Shop, to support us.
