A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at Liverpool Cathedral for the 12th Annual Micah Lecture
We were privileged to welcome Jenny Sinclair, Founder and Director of Together for the Common Good, who delivered a deeply thought-provoking and timely talk exploring how the Church must respond to growing poverty and social fragmentation.

Drawing on the rich tradition of Catholic Social Teaching, Jenny invited us to reflect on the true vocation of the Church in today’s world, not just as a place of compassion, but as a people called to walk in solidarity with others.
She reminded us that Christian justice is not only about giving, but about standing alongside those affected by injustice, building relationships, and nurturing hope together.
Jenny urged churches to read the signs of the times with clarity and courage, to reclaim their prophetic voice, and to embody love in action, especially in the face of social fragmentation and division.
Above all, her message was one of hope: that by taking small, faithful steps, we can begin to build communities rooted in listening, reciprocity, and the guidance of the Spirit.
“Small is good,” she said, a reminder that meaningful change often begins in quiet, everyday acts of faith.
