Coffee and Carols – A Joyful Afternoon Together
2nd & 4th December | 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm
There’s nothing quite like carols to bring festive cheer! Join us for Coffee and Carols, where you can sing along to traditional Christmas favourites and popular tunes in a relaxed, joyful atmosphere.
With delicious coffee, mince pies, and festive treats from the Welsford Bistro, this free event is the perfect chance to gather with loved ones, share in the music, and soak up the joy of the season.
Hurry to Bethlehem: A Family Carol Celebration

Step into the magic of Christmas at our Hurry to Bethlehem: A Family Carol Celebration – a joyful, family-friendly celebration bursting with festive music, carols, and Christmas cheer!
Be uplifted by the beautiful voices of Liverpool64, the Gilbert Scott Singers, and our talented Junior Choirs, as they lead us on a musical journey to Bethlehem, sharing the wonder and joy of the Christmas story.
This special service is perfect for families and children, full of warmth, excitement, and the true spirit of Christmas.

Choir Christmas Concert at Liverpool Cathedral
20th December | 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
This special concert features a rich and varied programme, including much-loved pieces by Rutter, Wilberg, Howells, Lauridsen, and more – all set within the breathtaking acoustics of the Cathedral.
Enjoy singing along to well-known congregational carols, accompanied by the brass of the Liverpool Concert Orchestra, as the Cathedral fills with the warmth and joy of the Christmas season.
During the interval, treat yourself to teas, coffees, mulled wine, and mince pies, available to purchase from the Welsford Bistro.
Holly Bough
21 December at 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Join us for one of Liverpool Cathedral’s most beloved Christmas traditions our annual Service of Carols and Readings marking the Procession of the Holly Bough
This festive service brings together choir, carols, and community as we mark the journey from the Crib to the Cross. The highlight is the procession of the Holly Bough and Christmas trees through the Cathedral, a powerful symbol of both joy and reflection in the Advent season.
Enjoy a specially devised programme of seasonal carols and hymns, beautifully sung by our Cathedral Choir.
