Education team
Our talented team is made up of experienced qualified teachers, education guides, arts practitioners, and volunteers, all of whom have a passion for the Cathedral, learning outside the classroom, and the creative arts.
All of our popular trails, tours, and workshops can be adapted to meet the educational needs of each group and their curriculum objectives. You can find out more about our schools programme, here.
Teacher training
The Education team also offers sessions for teachers and trainee teachers, based around the Cathedral's education programme. Please get in touch here for more details on how we can tailor sessions to meet your needs.

Guided tours can be arranged for all ages and abilities. They can relate to most curriculum areas e.g. History, R.E., and Art. Teachers should specify the focus of their visit on the booking form. Guided tours last about an hour and cost £1.75 per pupil.

"It was a fantastic day The children really enjoyed it and the staff brought the best out of them"
"Very well planned and the half hour workshops were well timed to keep the children's attention and focus"
"I just wanted to say how much our students from both St Julie’s and our partner school in Madrid enjoyed the visit to the Cathedral on Saturday. Your colleagues made us most welcome and all of us had a thoroughly good time both walking around the Cathedral and on the viewing platform at the top of the tower".
An outstanding feature is the experiences provided... which makes activities fun and learning vibrant so pupils see connections between ideas
It was a great day. So well organised and the children thoroughly enjoyed it. They took a lot away from the day, learnt a lot about the cathedral and enjoyed the arts and crafts that went along with the learning.
Children were really interested and loved walking around the cathedral. Information was suitably challenging for their age level.
