Thinking of joining our community? We have a range of ways you can get involved.
Friends of Liverpool Cathedral
Founded in 1925, The Friends are admirers of the building, its history and its community. The Friends are part of the Cathedral and work together to preserve it forever, contributing financially and directly to many individual and vital projects.
Midweek Discipleship
On Thursday afternoons at 1pm we host an in-person gathering for a time of community, reflective study, and prayer. We recently completed a thematic series called Jesus’ Hands. Next term we’ll be led through a series of reflections following our bible studies on Philemon and the prophet Micah. We begin on Thursday 26th January at 1pm in the Cathedral presentation theatre. All are welcome to join us.

The Prayer Course
Join us on Wednesday evenings on Zoom for 24/7 Prayer’s eight-session course helping you explore how to pray! It is based on the Lord’s Prayer which Jesus gave to his followers after they asked him ‘Teach us to pray’. We have just finished our 2022 course, but we hope to run the course in 2023. We’ll keep you posted.

Men’s Group
Meeting every other Tuesday evening on ‘Zoom’, our very informal and friendly Men’s Group is always ready to welcome new members. We start at 7.00 pm and enjoy a lively hour of discussion around some hot topics of everyday life.
To join in, please contact Canon Neal.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer Shawl Ministry has been a recognised, global, ecumenical, pastoral initiative since 1998. The concept is simple… a personalised, handcrafted item, (often woollen) is created and gifted to someone in need of pastoral encouragement.
Items are worked in the crafter’s own time and at their own pace.
New stitchers across all craft types are always welcome. If you would like to know more please contact The Prayer Shawls.
Threaded Together
As part of our Centenary Celebrations, the Prayer Shawl Ministry team have created an intricate piece to commemorate one hundred years since our Consecration. Threaded Together brings the story of the Cathedral and its history to life.
